Kirk received the Golden Apple Award in 2007, emblematic of the best director in The Johnny Appleseed District. Roose has directed choruses in the Mid-Atlantic and Johnny Appleseed Districts, leading choruses to district championships and international medalist awards. From his home in Oberlin, he covers a wide range of activities as an arranger, quartet coach, quartet member, and member of the district board.
Gene also has a Golden Apple on his shelf of trophies. Pearce has directed the Golden Crescent Chorus for more than 32 years. He has also sung in several top 10 District quartets. With all this experience and talent, the chorus cannot let those magic hands stop bringing out those good chords.
Carl also has a long and distinguished career of directing the chorus. He has directed for 27 years and was in front of the chorus for their Small Chorus District championship. Ondrus has sung in district and international competition quartets.
Larry is the newest addition to our directing staff. Coleman stepped in front of the chorus about 6 years ago. Larry also has sung in competition quartets.
Wagner has been directing the chorus in rehearsals and performances for about 10 years. His music experience continues to grow from his music studies in college through competition quartet singing.
